Dolce Vita

On Fridays, I volunteer.Yes, I know what you are thinking: "How altruistic of her!", but no...this is a very self-oriented act. I volunteer so I don't have a gap in my C.V while I am waiting to find a paid job or internship. Anyway, to tell you the truth, it is quite uninteresting... I am not helping people in distress (I would much rather do that, would be way more interesting and useful), I'm just doing admin stuff for a charity which will not be named (sorry curious people!). I don't think I'm getting new skills here but, hey, it keeps me occupied. So, the whole point of this post is to tell you about the only thing that keeps me happy when I'm at the office: the coffee machine! Meet M53 Dolce Vita!

Tada!

Here Lies Love

Big cities.  One lived, one to be lived in!  Operation New York commences.
Just need a working visa or a green card..no problem, yes?
That pastry there, tis delicious, it's a sun bun!  And that's a lovely Gateau cappucino.
What more do I need?  Well, maybe next post I'll attempt a dream board!

Colour Me Mine...

From my multicoloured toes, you might gather that I'm quite the nail polish fan.  This is true.

Have a gander! <3

Sniff This! Spritz That!

Here I share with you dear readers my little perfume collection.

My collection is quite shy, I admit, but I am very picky with my scents.  Here you see Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb, Hugo Boss Woman (an old favourite), Coco Mademoiselle and the remaining four are bottles that I am desperately trying to empty.  I had a high school phase where I loved the sweet Escada perfumes, now...not so much.  However, I do not want to throw them away, and my cousin is too careless they wouldn't survive a day if I offered them to her, so my plan of action is to use them as gym perfumes.  After a shower and a steam sesh I drench myself, against all perfume etiquette with either Davidoff Cool Water,  Escada Ibiza Hippie, Escada Island Kiss or Escada Rockin' Rio.
Now, sweet reader, what's your favourite perfume?!

I am a working girl

Hum, not really, but soon I hope... This afternoon I went to Old Street for an interview with a "forecasting company". I got this interview thanks to C. who put me in contact with a recruitement agency last week. They had thought of a possible job for her. However, C. having decided to go back to Stockholm a few months ago (leaving me feeling ever so lonely:  "come back to me" C.!) said she wasn't interested but that her good old friend E. still in funky London town might be. So, here I was being interviewed by a nice Scottish man when he suddenly asked: "Do you watch TV?". I answered "Yes...", but the truth is I don't have a TV here in London so...well, I don't watch any really! Anyway, he then asked if I watched Mad Men... (Yes, interesting interview). I triumphally replied that I did. Indeed, these days you just need Sidereel on a computer to live happily ever after. He was wondering what I thought of Don Draper's wife, what she represented and all. I just said that she represented the white middle class female of the sixties. The oppressed wife who listens and obeys to every single desire/order her cold husband has and takes care of the kids. (I was not convinced of my own "analysis"...not very deep!) He said that she represented the "good gone bad" blablabla... This just made me realize, that C., bigger Mad Men fan than me, would have totally excelled at this interview. Moral of the story: C. should come back to London, plenty of perfect jobs for her here.
